Jennifer joined her young daughters (and mini-business owners of www.Pretendly.fun) in singing at their first ever Open Mic experience. They sang an a cappella rendition of Malotte’s “The Lord’s Prayer” resulting in an impromptu audience sing-along. They were thrilled to be invited by the Peoria Music Community Women’s Cooperative to participate as an artist vendor at the Inaugural First Friday Open Mic in the upper gallery. Participating as singers in addition to visual artists was just the cherry on top for them!
North Art Studios is located at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (3601 N. North Street; Peoria, IL). This one of a kind studio space houses several artist studios, workshops, and galleries that will be open to the public. These local artists will have their work on display as well as on sale.
First Friday is FREE to attend, and all ages are welcome. Expect various mediums of art, styles of live music, light snacks, drinks, and more!
FIRST FRIDAY was created by the Central Illinois Artists Organization (CIAO) to give the community the opportunity to visit artists' studios after normal business hours (ArtsPartners.net/events/first-fridays)
